On wednesday, after our trip to Sentosa (which Cheryl will mention about later), we headed down to McDonalds at West Coast Park to snack on the infamous french fries.

I'm sure everyone knows how french fries taste like. They're made of potato, deep fried in oil and they have a considerably large amount of salt on them. Not to forget, that the oil is being heated over and over again, thus becoming partially hydrogenated. Which basically means, the presence of trans fats. Despite knowing how unhealthy french fries are, many still continue eating them as per normal. And why is this so? Personally, I feel that french fries is appealing to people of all age groups. Somehow the taste of it hooks you onto the french fries and you will grow to like, or even love it. It almost seem to be addictive.
Let's take a closer look at the nutritional facts.

Just a mere packet of large fries, which is what we shared, contained 8grams of trans fats! I can just imagine my arteries being clogged up now! yucks. anyway, back to the point, it contains 570 calories and 6grams of saturated fats. oh my, how long would you have to run to burn those off! tsk tsk.
So, we came to a conclusion that french fries can be one of Singapore most unhealthy food!
